Directions

Bremgarten is located approximately 20 km west of Zurich. It is easily reachable via different auto routes and there are excellent train and bus connections.

Public transport

The AVA (Bremgarten-Dietikon rail line) connects Bremgarten to Wohlen and Dietikon, which have direct links to Zurich’s main S-Bahn lines. The S17 line has five stops nearby connecting the various parts of the town, creating a kind of local transport system for the town. From Obertorplatz and the railway station there are buses to destinations along the Reuss valley and to Hermetschwil, and a direct express bus route to Zurich Enge.

here is plenty of parking around town, as well as a multi-storey car park at Obertorplatz (free of charge for the first hour): Parkhaus Obertor.

Coaches may us the coach parking lots at the Casino (GPS: Badstrasse 1, 5620 Bremgarten).

Car-free City

Car-free City

The old town is mostly car-free. Transit traffic is directed via a five-kilometer-long bypass. You will reach Bremgarten by using the national motorway A1 (Exit Lenzburg or Dietikon) or the A4 (Exit Birmensdorf).
